What Readers Got To Say!

In some ways, I have mixed feelings about this book. I found the story quite exciting and intriguing. I would call it a thriller and/or political intrigue. The characters were quite interesting and well-developed. The first chapter succeeded in drawing me in the way some books never do. It was an easy-to-read book, and the style was pretty good.

Francine wants to love again, but she is reluctant. Knowing her past, it’s easy to see why. She has dealt with heartache and emotional betrayal, and she has put up formidable walls that it will be difficult for any individual to break down. Enter Leonardo, a kind, generous soul who’s eager to get to the heart of Francine. He yearns to possess her, but not just physically. He wants to earn her trust and get her to surrender to her passions, but that is precisely what she is most afraid to do. Can these two find a way to fall completely under love’s spell and to form an unbreakable bond? Scared to Move On, by MD Leonnardo Andre, is a romance novel with strong emotional underpinnings. It may remind some readers of the movie The Prince of Tides or The Notebook. Francine is somewhat of a pitiful character when the story opens, though that is through no fault of her own. She has been taught the painful lesson that making herself emotionally vulnerable can lead to devastating and even crippling injury. In the face of such cruelty, someone like Leonardo seems like a mirage, too good to be true. Leonardo, for his part, finds it difficult to get past the thornbush the object of his desire has grown around her heart. Luckily, his infinite patience and gentle probing yield the reward he’s seeking, though it does not come easily. Incrementally, we begin to see these two connect on deeper levels, and it’s a satisfying journey on which to embark. It would be easy to make this material sappy or cloying, but in Andre’s capable hands, it is neither. Instead, this is a character study where the connection between the two protagonists feels earned. That is the difference between cheap dime store romance and genuinely heartfelt emotion, and this is most assuredly the latter. This kind of a story will not be for anyone, so cynics need not apply. However, those who are interested in a redeeming character arc that ends in happiness have come to the right place.

So, Leonardo Andre's Scared to Move On... it gets under your skin. It’s about Francine and Leonardo, both carrying these deep bruises from betrayals past. Yet somehow, tentatively, they start reaching for the little light they see in each other. Picture them: huddled in quiet cafés, sprawled under starry skies. Francine’s built these towering walls, right? But Leonardo just... waits. Patiently. And slowly, right there in those ordinary moments, something shifts. Vulnerability becomes their secret handshake, their quiet language. They fumble towards trust – not with grand declarations, but through stolen trips across Europe and conversations raw enough to sting. It’s messy. They discover this wild freedom, not in getting everything perfect, but in loosening their grip on their own desperate needs. Andre writes this dance between them with such aching honesty. Yeah, there’s heat, that undeniable pull, but it’s tangled up with something far deeper, something tender and terrifying. Don’t mistake this for just another romance. It’s a quiet anthem to resilience. Watching Francine inch her way from fear towards trust? It feels achingly familiar, like looking in a mirror at our own tangles with intimacy and self-doubt. Those adventures – Amsterdam’s dreamy canals, places maybe a little too scandalous – they’re not just backdrop. They hammer home the book’s heartbeat: real connection. It demands guts. Pure bravery. Andre, with his writing that cuts clean and beautiful, whispers a truth we need: healing blooms when we find the courage to just be, cracks and all. It’s a story that doesn't just tug your heartstrings; it shows how love can gently, fiercely, rewrite even the most broken narratives. Seriously, read it.
